So, I have had a really funky day today. Spring isn't that great of a time for me. I have a lot of tough anniversaries coming up over the next couple months starting with one yesterday, and I'm kind of at a loss for how to deal right now and I don't know really how to put words to what I'm feeling so, I'll let Melissa do it for me.
Come to my window
Crawl inside, wait by the light
of the moon
Come to my window
I'll be home soon
I would dial the numbers
Just to listen to your breath
I would stand inside my hell
And hold the hand of death
You don't know how far I'd go
To ease this precious ache
You don't know how much I'd give
Or how much I can take
Just to reach you
Just to reach you
Just to reach you
Come to my window
Crawl inside, wait by the light
of the moon
Come to my window
I'll be home soon
Keeping my eyes open
I cannot afford to sleep
Giving away promises
I know that I can't keep
Nothing fills the blackness
That has seeped into my chest
I need you in my blood
I am forsaking all the rest
Just to reach youJust to reach you
Oh to reach you
Come to my window
Crawl inside, wait by the light
of the moon
Come to my window
I'll be home soon
I don't care what they think
I don't care what they say
What do they know about this
love anywayCome to my window
Crawl inside, wait by the light of the moon
Come to my window
I'll be home soon

The Power of the Mind

Check out this story. Porter Ellett is from my hometown, and I was friends with his sister in high school. It is so amazing the things we can do when we set our minds to it and engage our hearts in the battle. It really makes me think. Here he is playing baseball and basketball with only one arm, and then there's me- I've got all the working appendages a girl could ask for, and what am I doing with them?
